I am Derrick Wiebe. I am a hair forensics researcher and i have been doing this for about 20 years. I am here to tell you that Mark Thresher is guilty of killing Scot Eaton. The recent hair samples that I have done and will tell you about is why I am coming to you with this presentation so the right person will be caught and locked up in jail for a long time.
Hair is different on each part of the head but hair is the same on the same part of the head. You can look for different characteristics about the hair. Some of those could be the different ridges. the cortex, and different aspects of the hair. Another thing you can look at is the root of the hair which is the end of the hair. It might be curled at the end, rough, smooth, or just straight. Each persons hair have different characteristics and that's how we can tell suspects from each other. Hair might look different in a microscope from further away and closer in also.
Mark Thresher did kill Scot Eaton because the hair sample recovered on the scene is the same from another case that happened about 8 years ago and that was a theft case. Mark Thresher was the one convicted in that case also. The hair sample in this case is the exact same in the case that was 8 years ago.
These are the 2 hair samples recovered from both cases that proves Mark Thresher is guilty. As you can see they are both exactly the same.
